Please direct questions to lab managers Jacob Dairaghi (jdairagh@butler.edu) or Max Wing (mwing@butler.edu) or speakerslab@butler.edu.<br /><br />Please note the following:<br /><br />1) Individuals seeking one-hour sessions must sign-up on the hour rather than on the half-hour intervals (e.g. 2 pm NOT 2:30 pm).<br /><br />2) Students must book appointments at least 2 hours in advance. The online system will not show available sessions within that 2 hour time frame, however, the Speakers Lab does accept and encourage walk-in appointments without reservations if a tutor is available.<br /><br />3) Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance or students will be marked as absent if they fail to arrive.<br /><br />* Directions on how to sign-up properly can be found at http://www.butler.edu/speakers-lab/for-students/. <br />

AMAZING - I never had a tutor who was so down-to-earth and genuinely helpful. She gave great insight but also provided compliments to bolster confidence.

The session was NOT helpful. She just stares at me for 5 sec and asks me question that I don't even know the answer to. She makes me feel so uncomfortable.

The Speakers Lab is a great resource for many reasons. So far this semester it has helped me organize my PowerPoint slides, practice timing, and even create a PowerPoint. I always feel comfortable practicing my speeches and receive valuable critiques that prepare me for the real deal. If you want an "A" on your next speech, then use the Speakers Lab!
