I've been natural for several years now and thought I knew everything there was to know about my hair. I've frequented a couple of other natural hair salons that were also a pleasurable experience however Kinky Peaches has by far been THE most informative, affordable and enjoyable natural hair salon experiences ever for me! She taught me about my specific hair type as well as what products do and don't work for my hair AND she blessed me with The Most Defined Wash-n-Go! She books up fast which is just another illustration of her phenomenal work. She has a client for life with me ;)

As I've gotten older I've noticed that those little gray hairs have been popping up EVERYWHERE! I came to Monique to see if we could get them in line and sure enough she did!

The henna gave my hair a nice, soft feeling and I love how it covers the gray. I was skeptical that it would actually work but after a couple of treatments, I know that it's something that not only works but that I need to add to my schedule on a monthly basis!

I took my 3 1/2 year old daughter to get a hair assessment! After trials of products and spending a lot of $$ with ZERO plausible results I stumbled across this salon through google search. The experience was excellent! We learned soooo much about her curls and how to STOP having crying sessions during hair time :) I now know that CURLY hair is not meant to be combed and that my beautiful curly haired princess is a 3A LOL

The salon has only one stylist (the owner, Monique Boea). I thought that would be a recipe for disaster, but happily Monique is an excellent stylist! She can't make your hair do things that it doesn't want to do, but she does bring out the best in each head of hair. I thought my hair was mostly 3A/B (with a little 3C/4A in the "kitchen") so I never expected all of my curls to be super defined. Monique defined my curls like NEVER before! My curls looked as good as the sisters you see in natural hair magazines or on YouTube! Look out Mahogany Curls, its my turn now! Now I have soft, super shiny ringlets all over my head - even in "the kitchen"! I only have 2 cons: 1)Its hard to book an appointment through the online service and that is the only way you'll probably be able to book your 1st appt at Kinky Peaches and 2)Sometimes appointments get delayed. I've had multiple appts and none started at the scheduled time. Were it not for these 2 factors, I would rate Kinky Peaches as EXCELLENT! Even so, I still have to say that booking an appointment at Kinky Peaches will be well worth any wait/inconvenience especially if you are newly natural. When you see how beautiful your hair can be, it will motivate you to continue your journey!!!

I have wanted to go natural for almost 7 years, but I was very apprehensive. After seeing the detailed break down of hair types and other info on the Kinky Peaches website, I decided to give it try. My visit was the best hair experience I have ever had. I left very educated on how to take care of my hair myself.
