I scheduled a Zoom appointment but I was never sent the Zoom link. I tried to call the office multiple times but there was no answer. I also emailed the office for the Zoom link but no response.
My appointment was for 11:20 but I was emailed to confirm an appointment at 7:20 which I did not register for. In the end, I was not able to be in a zoom meeting as I was waiting entirely until my time was up for it to start. Maybe there is a bug or confusion on the matter.
no zoom link
NO zoom link
It was a really fast zoom meeting to overview what I wanted to pursue. Some courses and activities were recommended could fit my situation and demand. I have scheduled another call as a follow-up hoping to make my career move forward.
I did not get to have an zoom link or any other kind of follow up
They do everything they can to give you honest advice about the career path that you chose. They try to help you as much as they can.
Horrible, negative, condescending individual.
After leaving I honestly felt like I should change my life plans because I couldn’t do what I set out to do. The advisor was really negative and before I entered my appointment I heard her telling someone they should choose a different career path. I understand that they are trying to help but I have been so fearful to come back into this office to receive help after the tone set from the first visit. I felt like I was begrudgingly told what classes to take and then it was a oh well you suck but if you need a recommendation I guess we have to write you one because your GPA says you qualify for one. I am only planning to come back because I have no where else to turn for help.
I felt discouraged leaving the office and I don't think that is what advising should be about. I wasn't guided down any path, we only talked about things I already knew, and a huge chunk of the time was about my GPA which isn't the entire picture. I hope this helps for future advising services. Thank you.
really great and informative.
Dr.Good was very helpful and direct with her advising.
Dr. Goode and the entire staff at the Health Professions Office are extremely helpful. They are a true asset to CSUF as a whole and especially to us premed students. I literally do not know where I would be if I did not have Dr. Goode to help me in this process.
The service is amazing, Dr. Goode is so knowledgeable and helpful. I am so glad to have her available through the school. I am also so glad for the online appointments so that I don't have to physically be at school. It saves so much time, and it is so convenient.
I love that fact that we can Skype with Dr. Goode. This really helps students with limited availability in their schedule.
Dr. Goode is very helpful and friendly, even while in Thailand! She handled what I needed done immediately. She's great.
Dr. Goode is so helpful!
My advising session was really helpful
I was terribly disappointed with my experience this past Monday. I didn't get any structured information regarding my academic planning which was my first priority. I wasn't even properly greeted and my Titan audit, which I had readily provided, wasn't touched. My advisor didn't ask for my name thus leaving me feeling disconnected and awkward. I felt like a nuisance which I unfortunately expected to feel like beforehand. I have yet to encounter someone who's actually willing to sit down with me and help clear up the questions I have about my academic planning. I left my meeting feeling more confused, stressed, and dejected than before. Although I didn't feel disrespected I definitely felt disregarded. I excel with a little bit of guidance, structure, and consideration which was what I was seeking but failed to receive.
Left Dr.Rogers' office with specific tasks and he was very helpful!
I wish there were more available scheduling times to choose from throughout the week.
You guys have been great! Thanks so much keep up the good work (:
Great suggestions and I was happy to have gotten all my questions answered.
Very helpful and patient, answered all questions and even gave insightful suggestions
Dr. Goode helped to clarify the requirement for the minor. Additionally, she gave a variety of resources to look into to provide further guidance.
Conversations with Dr. Goode are always brief and to the point. If you come in with a specific set of question, you'll definitely get great responses!
Dr. Goode and her staff are amazing. Each member of the team is very informative, cooperative and always willing to help.
Dr. Goode is very helpful. She offers her suggestions and update you on current openings or programs offered for your profession. She's great!
Dr. Goode and the rest of the HP advising staff have been very helpful in assisting me as I prepare for the MCAT and applying to medical school this summer. Dr. Goode gave me some very good advice, and I look forward to returning for more help in the future.
Dr. Goode was very informative, detailed, and approachable during our conservation. She brought to attention many great points that I will find helpful throughout college with a doubt.
I enjoyed the speaker and the diverse background/ health profession he had. Typically you get your average doctor who works in the hospital, but on this meeting we got a doctor who worked for the people who serve our country. It was touching and reminded me of what I truly wanted to do.
