top tear doctor for your primary care needs and then some. Dr. Akashi has helped me very much and continues to do so to this day. I recommend him to anyone and the "DOC" is very understanding to all his patients needs and concerns, He really listens to your. I would be lost in Japan without him as far as medical treatments go.

Appointment started late, and was very brief. I felt rushed out of the chair despite the late start.
It was a first dental visit, but beyond a prick test, no cavity check was undertaken and no x-rays were taken. I appreciate the dentist altering my mouthguard for a more comfortable fit before a fitting later in the month, but only 15 minutes of dental care were given despite a thirty minute appointment being booked. I have booked two appointments in advance, as I would like to ensure a full cavity check prior to fitting a new (often expensive) mouthguard.

You will not find a more caring or thorough primary care physician in Japan (actually any country I have lived) than Dr. Akashi. I've been coming here once a month for more than 7 years. I've never had a negative experience. Dr. Akashi has never rushed me and he always listens when I have a concern even if I am maybe being over-cautious from time to time. If you've had negative experiences with doctors in Japan, please go see Dr. Akashi. Nothing is more comforting when you're having health issues than having a doctor that speaks your native language, listens to your symptoms and speaks directly and respectively to you as a patient. Could not recommend this Clinic more.

I first came for a check-up and cleaning and was told I had a problem. Came back to get it fixed. The dentist was faster than a Ferrari! If you don't care what the dentist will do next, then she's the dentist for you. I'm a little hearing-impaired and I could not understand a word she said and upon leaving, she told me I had many problems and should schedule a longer appointment. I went to see a different dentist, who only found 1 other small problem and I had no trouble hearing what he said. So I will not be back unless I have some emergency toothache issue.
The nurse was incredibly sweet though. The front desk staff can easily come off rather rude, arrogant or too busy to be nice to patients. I will assume it happens on days when they are very busy only.

I have been frequenting the Bluff Medical clinic for over a year. Mostly for my baby and children but also for health care for myself. Although initially I found the atmosphere a little confronting due to cultural differences and barriers, I have found over time that the regular staff at the clinic are very willing to help and try to be friendly. They go out of their way to assist me to get an appointment if necessary when one is needed urgently. I feel happy to attend the clinic now with my young child for immunisations and regular medical concerns. The receptionist also plays with my son to help amuse him whilst he has to wait for appointments etc. The Dr is very caring as are the majority of the nursing and administrative staff.
There is a atmosphere from the reception staff thst is not very comforting

(Dental) The doctor chose improper wording which left me confused. The condition became worse.
My record shows my previous history of pain and I felt a lot of it while sitting in the dental chair. Also, a lot of water splashed up into my face which is a first. In my whole life, that has never happened and it was multiple times. Suddenly I had a diagnosis of multiple cavities even though my last visit was 6 months ago. I don't feel confident here anymore.

This clinic is always so helpful. Dr. Akashi is very thorough and kind. The staff are always accommodating and give me advice on what I need to do. They give the medicine prescribed at the clinic so I do t have to pick it up at a drug store.

The dentist was really nice and communicated well in English BUT I think she should be more careful next time. She unintentionally cut my tongue and apologized about it but until now,it's painful when I speak or eat. I am a teacher so I talk all the time. It's just painful these days.

The dentist and his assistant is so helpful! They are always smilings and caring to their patient. I have only one request, please ask the staff at the front desk not to be rude. I'm not yet finish talking but she want us to sit down.
What makes this place worth going to aside from their fluency in English is the way they treat their patients. The staff and the dentist are professional and amiable.

Dr. Akashi combines what may medical doctors in the U.S. do not: professionalism with great bedside manner. Before my first appointment with Dr. Akashi, I was nervous because I expected to be treated as if I were speaking with a medical doctor in the U.S.; he quickly put me at ease and treated me with respect. Not only was Dr. Akashi professional and respectful, the entire staff at the Bluff Clinic were also.
